Happy New year to all!!! Well.... the new year started off with a bang...literally!! With our annual new years bash and ringing in the new year with all of our friends and family near and far, we are off to a good start. Canadians, Californian's, Return Missionaries, sister missionaries and all we around to bring good cheer for 2009. Roy set off fireworks across the way at the park and all the kids were in awe. S more's were roasted over the fire pit while much chatting was being cough up on, guys on the Wii bowling, and the kids screaming and running throughout the house. Too much food, too much love and too much fun were all part of our new year. We enjoyed it all but were sad to see friends and family go.
Thus far the year has been a whirl win of events. Roy got his elbow surgery to fix his tendons and is in recovery stage now. At home with screaming kids is easy to handle when keeping on your pain meds. Watching History, Discover, and many more documentaries then humanly possible, he is recouping and getting some well deserved time off. Jess, Scott and Hailie are busy busy in California and Jess is doing lots of vinyl to keep her creativity going. Hailie will keep you on your toes and laughing whenever she is around. With Nikki, Brett and Sophia going thru a Foster Family crazy house withdrawal, we welcomed them in to take part in the craziness. They are always around to help with the kids and it is a great blessing to have the help in the house. Sophia is charging around the and pulling herself up to get ready to walk, and loves Meet the Robinsons. Nikki is the Scrapbooking QUEEN!!! She vary rarely comes up for air while submerged in embellishments and Stickles, and comes up with the most amazing things. Brett is our Rib Master, he makes the most amazing and is on high demand for them when family gatherings are going to take place. Michael is going to school and working at the shop. With institute , class, and cars he is on the go and we try to see him when we can. Katie is also keeping bust helping out her grandma and reading like it is going out of style. Her artistic talent never ceases to amaze us and is always flourishing. Abigail...our little 2ND grader is doing amazing! Winning Santa's heart over and getting a little puppy named Mallow for Christmas surprised... or rather floored us all. She is doing great with the responsibility and growing up so fast. Zach is .... well Zach. He is such a helper with Roy and is enjoying school. Very into Dinosaurs and sharks and will sit down with Roy any day to watch a documentary. Last but not least Logan! With his last year at home before Kindergarten , Logan is enjoying his Joy School and hanging out with Nikki. Most days you can find Logan running errands with Nikki or helping out with Sophia. He is our youngest but our sweetest and full of so much love and caring towards others. With every day coming and going faster then I can blink this year looks to be a prosperous and busy one. Trying to get the house together and settled in with Nikki, Brett and Sophia. Helping Roy keep things together, the phone always ringing and running errands for everyone... I guess you could say I am busy. Nonetheless, we hope to see everyone through the course of the year and hope you all had a wonderful holiday season.
